The Texas Department of Transportation provides free, 24-hour ferry service between Port Bolivar and Galveston. Visitors traveling from the Brazoria County-Matagorda County area can follow Farm Road 3005 to the toll bridge at San Luis Pass, which connects the west end of Galveston Island to the mainland.
