Location
Trinity University spans 125 acres atop a hill overlooking downtown San Antonio. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018, it's the only Texas campus designated as a modernist historic district and one of just three nationwide. For more than 75 of its 156 years, Trinity has thrived in San Antonio, proudly contributing to a fast-growing, vibrant urban community that reflects the future of the United States.
Campus Facilities & Equipment
No matter your major, Trinity offers students the resources ordinarily available to schools 10 times its size: scholarships, undergraduate research, study abroad opportunities, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, and more.
In Dicke Hall, Trinity University's home for the humanities, students seeking a foundation in the liberal arts find collaborative working spaces and state-of-the-art classrooms in a high-tech, high-touch environment.
In the Center for the Sciences and Innovation (CSI), Trinity's science and engineering programs offer students cutting-edge instrumentation usually found only at the graduate level. This five-story science and engineering complex includes a rooftop observatory, a living “green” roof and rooftop greenhouse, and an open-air innovation and design studio where students of all majors can operate heavy-duty laser cutters, 3D printers, lathes, and more.
Coates Library
Coates Library is a vibrant hub for research, collaboration, and discovery in the heart of the campus academic core. The library houses more than 700,000 physical items and offers access to 400,000 ebooks, 249 databases, and 99,000 journal subscriptions. The library's expert librarians and staff are dedicated to supporting the needs of students and faculty and our innovative study and work spaces promote creativity in research and pedagogy.
Tiger Learning Commons / Integrated Health and Wellness

Center for Experiential Learning and Career Success (CELCS)
CELCS connects students to hands-on learning opportunities and provides personalized career coaching and advising. The center is a one-stop shop to help students prepare for life after Trinity, from graduate school to the job market.
Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Students form entrepreneurial project teams to transform creative ideas into practical realities and to interact with alumni entrepreneurs and creators in the San Antonio community.
The Ruth Taylor Fine Arts Center is composed of three buildings: the Smith music building, which houses classrooms, practice studios, and the Ruth Taylor Recital Hall; the Dicke art building, which features spacious art studios flooded with natural light, digital photo labs, and an art gallery; and the Ruth Taylor Theater building, which features the 500-seat Stieren Theater, one of the most advanced theatrical facilities at an undergraduate college. Trinity is part of an elite network of schools that are All-Steinway campuses.
At the Richardson Communication Center, students have access to an interactive multimedia lab, two television stations with control rooms, and the studios for KRTU-FM—which is not only the campus radio station, but also San Antonio's largest outlet for all forms of jazz.
The William H. Bell Center is a 193,715-square-foot complex that houses two performance gymnasiums, Hixon Natatorium, and various other physical fitness facilities. It serves as the core of Trinity University's athletics complex and is available to all Trinity students, faculty, and staff with a Trinity ID.
Off-Campus Opportunities
San Antonio, the nation's fourth fastest-growing city, is a national and international hub for technology, healthcare, and entrepreneurship, providing students deep community connections and learning and career opportunities.
Trinity's campus is a stone's throw from the heart of downtown, which allows the Trinity community to experience everything from First Friday Artwalks to Fiesta celebrations to farmer's markets at the Pearl.
If you love the outdoors, there are countless opportunities to take advantage of South Texas' great weather by exploring the Hill Country, the Guadalupe River, and various hiking and climbing activities.
While academics are a large focal point of the Trinity University experience, the campus promotes a "work hard/play hard dynamic." In addition to a large focus on studies, there are also ample opportunities for recreation through numerous student-led organizations. Greek life, intramural sports, an onsite fitness center, theater and film clubs, and mock trials are some of the most popular activities and "rec sports are top notch." There are also more niche interests such as a "knitting club...and Taylor Swift club [that help students] find people with similar interests." Many student organizations are connected with the larger San Antonio community and offer ways to "engage with volunteering"; a popular pick among students is the Cats Alliance that "feeds, spays/neuters, [and] vaccinates" any stray cats on campus, and "has a great group of people involved in taking care of them." Students attest to how well these activities add to Trinity's "well-rounded experience, both academically and socially," by allowing them to "explore interests and develop new skills."
