Emerging as one of New York's most dynamic universities, Iona University is a caring academic community grounded in the values of Blessed Edmund Rice and the Christian Brothers. With a mission focused on opportunity, justice, and the transformative power of education, Iona inspires students to explore their passions, expand their perspectives, and chart their own paths forward. The university's close-knit community spans campuses in New Rochelle and Bronxville, both just 20 miles from the heart of New York City.
In recent years, Iona has seen remarkable growth. Since expanding to a second campus in Bronxville, the university has launched a premier school of health sciences in partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian, one of the nation's top hospitals. This collaboration, along with a range of academic and extracurricular programs, has helped drive an over 40% increase in new-student enrollment since 2019.
Achieving university status in 2022 was a milestone in Iona's growth and the momentum continues. In May 2024, the university opened a new campus in County Mayo, Ireland, at the historic Westport House Estate. This expansion connects Iona to its Irish roots while offering students exciting new academic and cultural opportunities abroad.
With a commitment to excellence and a vibrant campus culture, Iona is building a future where opportunity, innovation, and community combine.
